    tough loss for the cyclones

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Re: tough loss for the cyclones

This loss stung a bit. I was hoping for only 2 more losses, with a lose @Nebraska and 1 more (maybe Baylor?) but this makes it awfully hard now.

This team will be fine though. This team is pretty young and will have nights like this. I am hoping we can finish strong and finish around 3rd or 4th in the Big 12. It would be REALLY nice to have a bye for the tourney!

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Re: tough loss for the cyclones

Would have been good to pick up a win there, but it's a minor setback. The key will be how they can fare in some toughies coming up, like vs. Baylor, OSU and Nebraska. If those are all L's, but the Sisters run the rest of the slate, it's a solid season.
That Drake loss isn't looking too good right now — other than that, no other bad losses, and some good wins (such as Texas and OU).
