    Colvin

I certainly hope this guy comes back next year. IMO, and I've felt this way for a few months, he has Tinsley-type potential.

Easily our most talented guard since Tinsley or Blalock/Stinson. When he allows the game to slow down for him, he's very smooth and makes some great plays at the rim. Improving his long range shot ability really helps too.

    He played great last night.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

    Re: Colvin

He does. And he was tenacious last night. No fear about putting up the shot (and good shots) or handling the ball down the stretch. I think that the team could really draw from that.

    And his potential is huge.

How dare you!! DG is by far the greatest guard we have ever had here! Colvin can not hope to live up to DG here at Iowa State.

    Re: Colvin

I agree. As well as he played last night, it still doesn't feel like it's slowed down for him yet. But he's getting closer.

His two 3's were huge, and he showed a lot of guts knocking those down given how much he's shot this year, and his two finishes at the rim were great. Especially the and-1.

he played some really good D on Mason-Griffin at times too.

Like the OP stated...we just need to keep him at ISU! That is first and foremost going to be THE goal of the offseason!

    Re: Colvin

Demarcus Phillips at the 2 next year. Colvin at the point. Best 2 guards we have had since blalock and Stinson. I see it more like Justice Thigpen and Ron Bayless though.

    Re: Colvin

The fact that he seems to be playing better since he came back from suspension makes me think he might be one of the few on the team that is responding to Mac's coaching. He'll be back.

This...his best moments last night were when he was playing with DG. He's not a 2, but played well in that shared guard position with DG last night.

When he was in as the point with DG on the bench, I thought he struggled a bit.

Also, our chances at Randle improve greatly if we are successful.

    Re: Colvin

I was only able to watch the last 10 minutes of the game last night, but Colvin really showed me what ISU has been missing at guard since Stinson and Blalock. I'm just not sure he or McDermott will finish what they started at ISU.

DG is the clear point to me. He is the only one out there that ever resembles something of a leader. He will tell people what's up sometimes when it is needed.

    Re: Colvin

I hope McD gives him the chance to play and get some serious minutes over the next couple games could really help his game for next year.
