AMES, Iowa – It was a record-setting season for the Iowa State volleyball team, and a record number of fans showed up to join the fun at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones continued their climb as one of the biggest draws in the country, finishing the season ninth nationally in attendance. ISU was again third among Big 12 teams, finishing behind Nebraska (second) and Texas (seventh), but the gap closed as ISU improved from 14th in 2008.

The Cyclones averaged 2,734 fans in 14 home matches to total 38,275 fans in head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch’s fifth year. The total was nearly 15,000 more than the previous record, which was set in 2008.
