Re: Who will be the second back next year?

my bet is Bo picks up his game and gets more PT. Gotta learn the non-running plays. If he can't catch out of the backfield though he won't be very useful except in obvious running situations. in that case shontrelle could see some action...if he shows up.

Re: Who will be the second back next year?

I'd love to see Blankenship succeed. Read some interviews that he did coming out of high school, and he seems like a really good guy. Love his fire. But, as far as the future of the team is concerned, I'd like to see Johnson or Hollis in there getting some quality minutes, and then step right into A-Rob's place in 2011.

Re: Who will be the second back next year?

Bo, then James, then Beau. I am hoping all of these step up to the point that Shontrelle is behind them for a year and can redshirt. Probably won't happen, but it is wishful thinking.

Re: Who will be the second back next year?

It's a major toss up between Bo, Beau, and James. It seems like we have a glut of legitimate talent at this position. I know we've said that before, but it truly looks that way right now. We've got a guy who is proven as an All-Conference type player, and some back ups that seemingly have a lot of talent.

I'll go with White. I'm curious to see what we have come the Spring Game.

Shontrelle isn't coming to ISU to redshirt IMO. He will see the field.

    That said, I picked Bo.

Re: Who will be the second back next year?

I'd say Beau or James. Sounds like the coaches really like both. I'm not sure Williams will ever be our number 2. If Shontrelle is good enough to be a solid #2, then great. I kind of hope he redshirts though.

Re: Who will be the second back next year?

Our second string RB is also our starting QB. Arnaud is a load to bring down.
Only 7 months until ARob and AA are in the backfield of the top rushing offense in the BigXII!!!
Seriously, though, I hope Bo gets his hands on the ball many times this year.

Re: Who will be the second back next year?

I belive Beau got hurt last year, right? However, I see him as a thumper and would like to see him succeed. He looks to be the strongest of the bunch and quick. Also, seems to be a great kid who was the #1 back in Oklahoma, which I believe does say something.
