    Hotels in Ames

ANy recommendations for a hotel in Ames? Going to be putting the family up for a weekend there for the girls/guys games on Feb 20.
Willing to pay a little more for cleanliness and a suite. ALso needs a pool.
My first try was Gateway which I liked when I stayed there before, but it is sold out that weekend.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

Hilton Garden out in west ames is a nice, new hotel. Havent stayed there but have stayed at other hilton gardens that were nice. runs about 100-130. Has a pool.

It isn't perfect by any means, but the old Baymont across from Gateway is probably the best value for the price. A clean room and a pool is all my kids need, and that's what they get there. Maybe a Best Western now? I just stayed there on Thursday--nothing flashy but gets the job done.

Brand new Hilton Garden will be the way to go, probably the best hotel in AMes, which isn't saying a whole lot.

I've heard the GrandStay Suites by Old Chicago is very nice.
