Quez is the man. He is what Cyclone fans have dreamed of over the last few years...Rashon Clark with a jumper. I believe we should start a CF fund to pay off the NCAA to get him another year, I am sure they can be bought.

Re: Gilstrap Newcomer of the Week --- Again

At this point I think I'd be more excited about Quez coming back than I would Brackins. Dendy and Ham can hold down the post, I don't think we have anybody to replace Gilstrap on the wing. Combined with a Phillips/Colvin backcourt, I think that is a better team than this years.

That's a good point, but without Brackins I think defenses would just double team Quez instead. I don't think he'd get nearly as many oppurtunities without CB in there.

I'd say he pretty much has that reward locked down! I love the intensity, agression, and hustle that Gilstrap plays with.

Maybe. If Phillips is the scorer he's advertised to be I think he'll still get plenty of one on one opportunities. Dendy won't force defenders to spread out to cover his mid-range like Brackins did, but if the guard play improves and can get him the ball in the post I think he can be just as dangerous down low.

Yeah, I've almost forgot what it's like to have a guard who can score consistantly. Hopefully you're right about Phillips.

Well deserved. One of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal season thus far.

Re: Gilstrap Newcomer of the Week --- Again

His draft stock has been rising..six days ago he was projected 45th pick overall and this morning on nbadraft.net it's 40th..

The guy is a beast, the more he plays, I think the more comfortable he gets. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a projected first rounder by the end of the season if he keeps this up.
