ESPN Classic ISU v. KU Right Now

Watching Iowa State dominate Kirk Hinrich and Nick Collison and the Jaysquaks in Allen Fieldhouse from 2/5/01. Shirley, Tinsley, Horton, Evans, Pierson, Sullivan, Power, etc... Is that team more talented than this years team, don't think so, but they have Senior Guard Leadership.

There is already a thread on this and you are way off saying this years team is more talented than that one.
Tinsley and Shirley both played in the NBA and Horton was a GREAT college player.

I would trade our entire team just to have Horton and Tinsley. The guard play from those teams is not even close to what we have now.

Having a PG that can actually finish would be a key addition to the current team. It would definitely improve CB's and MG's games as well.

Someone remind me why we fired this guy, and what was wrong with a coach kicking back after a game having a few brews.

That might be a bit of a stretch. It would be awful tough to win with just those two...

Thank you very much Bruce Van DeVelde...

    Thank god he's gone.

Worst decision ever by president Geoffrey. I LOVED and continue to root for LE- He should still be our coach at ISU.

I forgot about how excellent the help defense and defensive effort were on that team. That's definitely not something we are used to.

How soon you all forget....we had two great seasons out of five under LE, but the other three were pretty forgettable for the most part. For all the talk this week about ISU never having a player quit the team mid-season before, it happened on a semi-regular basis in LE's last couple of seasons, not to mention the national embarrassment brought on by his alcoholism.

I would like to see LE succeed at Southern Miss, but let's not our current program's troubles whitewash the issues that surrounded the program while he was here.

we know we know we know, but at least he had success! The last few years here have been pretty forgettable as well.
