Is there more to Lucca's lost year?

Than we now know? I really question if maybe he got paid some after this latest development. It now seems like he would do anything to play and get his way.

At the time he said his dream was to play college BB in this country. Yet after sitting out a year he only plays a year and a half of it. Heck he almost didnt make it to Big 12 play his 2nd year. When the going got tough for him he packs up and leaves instead of really working on his game to make himself a more rounded player. Hell next year he would probaly have been the go to guy on the team, but I guess that wasnt good enough for him. He has stated all along that him and his family want him to get a college degree, but now it comes out that his parents left it all up to him, to do what he wants. This whole thing is so odd and has so many contradictions in it. I can see where he wants to go home and he has been away from his family for so long and if that is the reason for leaving why not just say, it is time to go home.

Apparently there are a couple of German papers out there who have quoted him saying he was angry that he wasn't played more at point guard, with more ball handling and ball distribution responsibilities.
He was never serious about school; ask any of his professors.

Not saying it is right but most major D1 bball players aren't that serious about school. Whatever it takes to get the job done

At this time, a simple "no" is all it takes to stop the inane speculation and conspiracy theories that have been doled out all day.

We're Iowa State. One of our players was a whiny little *****, he quit, end of story. There was no second shooter. There was no staged moon landing in a sound studio. We are Iowa State.

Well, he can't handle the ball. Since he can't do that it would be hard to meaningfully distribute the ball. He couldn't get anything going to the hoop. Not a ton of assists are made at the top of the key.

It's all snark from here on out
