    Change in Style?

With the reduction in available players, I am afraid we are going to see us go back to slowing the game down and reducing pressure like the last three years when players were short. I hope not because it is more fun to watch an 80 point game than what we saw in Nebraska!

If this is in another thread the mods can move it. I am not able to keep up on all the threads in the last 24 hours!

    Re: Change in Style?

We will probably at least slow it down the first half. Then pick it up the second half.

Good post JRE1975, I think it will be interesting to see if our offensive pace tonight. To be honest, I have no idea what to expect.

    Re: Change in Style?

Well, at least for tonight, a win by a score of 58-51 is better than a 89-86 loss.

    Re: Change in Style?

I think we'll try to run tonight, Tech gives up the most points of all the Big12 teams, and that plays to our up-tempo style more than it would trying to slow it down. But I do agree that I think, against KU and beyond, we'll probably slow it down.

    Re: Change in Style?

Slowing down may be the way to go. One thing I do want to see is GMac use his timeouts to affect momentum and to get players rest. Not just horde them for the end of the game when we are down by ten. We only used 8 players at Nebraska so really it is not that different of a situation if Colvin plays.

    Re: Change in Style?

Mac has said they are better when they run. He said they will slow it down some when they run their set plays.
