    Tutto Bene is no more

When did Tutto Bene close? And how soon did the new Mexican resturant open up? I just noticed this past weekend. Do they have good food?

It was where O'Malley McGhee's or however you spell that was. They sold it after the flood last year.

Owner of Tutto Benne was the same as Cazador. Not sure if he sold it or just decided to switch the menu to Mexican.

TB is where O'Malley and McGee's was. The first I heard of it closing and then reopening as Puerta Vallarta was in mid-December. Haven't been to either one.

I think Angie liked TB. I didn't get over there either.

That place wasn't even open that long then, or am I thinking of something else?

TB was really bad Mexican/ Italian food. Not sure why they thought about serving Italian food in the first place. I would think you would need some experience cooking it and also the atmosphere wasn’t Italian.

Re: Tutto Bene is no more

I think tutto bene closed about 6 weeks ago or so. That place was ok, but puerto vallerta seems to be more their thing....

The food comes out a little slow for a mexican place...but then again we were there on a friday night when they first opened and it was REALLLLY busy. We had a couple of giant margaritas to keep us occupied (great margaritas and they are STRONG).

Once we got the food, it was awesome. They had a really kick *** pico that they served with the chips and salsa, and the steak fajitas were different than any i have ever had...the spices were amazing. The tortillas were fresh and warm.

My wife saved room for dessert and got the fried cheesecake- (not exactly healthy but i highly recommend it!)

The prices are average, and i think the service would be excellent if you do not go when they have lines out the door.

The place is FARRRRR too bright for those of you who loved the cave-like ambiance of o' malleys, and if i was single i might hesitate to bring a date there because of that....

All in all it was a great experience except for some minor problems. I will be going back!

I once has the Alfredo at TB, and it was like plastic covered in cold, powder mix alfredo sauce. Glad to see it gone.

Angie did not like TB. Hated it, in fact. I drug her there for lunch one time, and have been paying for it ever since.

Re: Tutto Bene is no more

When my husband and I went there last weekend the first thing we did was order the margaritas because we heard they were awesome! They were pretty damn good , and I left feelin pretty good haha. I didn't really know much about the Italian place, but we ran into Puerto Vallerta when we were coming off the interstate one night, and just decided to stop in for a quick bite and a drink.

We loved the pico!! I had the steak special for saturday night, i forget what it was called----but it was AWESOME.....i have no idea what they make their seasonings out of, but i loved it. It seems like all the mexican places in town are kind of the same food-wise, but this place has a spin on the flavors that I can't put my finger on. My husband had a seafood combination with some dungeness crab enchiladas that were freaking amazing. I would go there again and again just for those. Anyway, it's nice to have a new good restaurant in town.

That's what I get for mis-remembering! Sorry Angie.
