    Billy Packer watch

I'm worried that Billy Packer may need to be consoled. The mighty mighty ACC did not get a team into the final four. He seemed quite in the OT when Georgetown was running UNC in circles.

    Re: Billy Packer watch

I'm hoping to find a radio feed of next week's games so I can turn the sound down on the television and not listen to Packer.

He is still claiming that Jeff Green didn't travel on the game winning shot against Vanderbilt...

This from the guy who thought it was normal to come in for a rebound with your elbows pointing out.

I remember in the UNC vs ISU game in the tourny. he was concerned with the Cyclones "getting out of hand" and hurting his precious Tar Hills.

    Re: Billy Packer watch

During one of the games this weekend, Packer said that he has been saying "That the Pac 10 had more quality teams than any other conference this season". I usually zone out when this dolt is announcing the games, did anybody hear him claim that during the year?

    Re: Billy Packer watch

I heard him make the PAC 10 comment. He said it during the USC / UNC game after Oregon was in the sweet 16, USC was up big on UNC and UCLA was winning.

    Re: Billy Packer watch

Was Packer the guy that did the ISU/Michigan St. game back in 2000? I remember the announcer being a complete MSU homer, was practically singing the praises of the ref that called the double foul on Paul Shirley, ripped into Eustachy about a complete lack of respect of officiating when he got T'd up after practically shoving his foot up the ref's ***, and almost wetted himself when MSU pulled the thing out. I mean, even Vitale said we got ripped in that game. Anyone remember if that was Packer?

I think Lundquist and Raftery did the game.

    Re: Billy Packer watch

Another Packer outrage.....in the last minute of the USC/NC game, USC gets called for the moving screen, Floyd throws his notes on the floor and gets T'ed up. Packer goes off on Floyd and says it was a good call. I've never seen a moving screen called in the last minute of a game....the official was in no position to see it...and the guy had his feet set. I kept waiting for someone with common sense to elbow Packer and acknowledge that the trojans got screwed. No elbow from Nantz though.
