    the gym

so I'm at the gym this morning for the first time in a while and there were a couple things that I noticed that I thought were totally ridiculous.

    1) the "roid dudes" that have their little corner over by the 100lb dumbells and where there is a nice place to set their duffle bags full of who know what were being extra dramatic during their sets today. Like I'm talking damn near screaming on the last rep, then throwing the wieghts and encouraging one another loud enough to were i can hear ths going on despite wearing head phones. obviously everyone noticed they were there and were like WTF? It's like they were doing this as if to say, "hey all of you new years resolution losers, this is our gym". I seriously had to just laugh at these tools.

    2) naked old dudes in the locker room being waaayyy too comfortable. do you have to shave at the mirror totally naked and with a towel over your shoulder as if to let people know that you have a towel, but you'll put it on when you feel damn good an ready. do you need to put you're foot up on a bench to talk to your buddy while you're still totally naked? why do old dudes do this? Am I in the minority here to say that these dudes make it totally awkward for basically everyone else in the locker room?

I always laughed at the meatheads. That was always a good joke.

    Re: the gym

Yes the old guys shaving naked in front of the mirror or better yet the one that puts his leg up on the sink to finish drying off while you're at the sink right next to him and then he goes over and puts his junk under the dryer to make sure all the dampness is gone There are a couple of these at the Y in Windsor Heights in the early mornings... I apologize if you are one of them but man you need to cover yourself up and realize you're not at home! I'm not very shy about what I got but I'm not just letting it all hang out and flopping it around in front of a locker room full of guys.

    Re: the gym

My personal favorite is the guys who go up and set the ergs( rowing machines) all the way to 10 for the damper setting, pull on the thing 10-20 times and run away, not even trying to put the handle back into the thing that holds it. Or I should say, my favorite thing is watching 40-50 of those tools do that while I'm trying to get in a 5k piece.

    Re: the gym

How about a guy that puts his sweaty socks and shorts on a hand dryer to dry them, and in the process stinks up the whole locker room. How stupid do you have to be to not realize that sweat stinks? Or maybe he just doesn't care. Idiot.

Or how about the sauna guy that comes in with nothing on, I mean no towel or shorts or anything, and then sits down with his *** and junk on the seat.

    Re: the gym

I always ask them to borrow some Chalk. Then I go pick up the 15 pound dumb bells and rip out about 8 curls and struggle and yell real loud on the last one. Then drop them down like they do. Basically making fun of them.
The funny thing is they think since they can bench press a truck that everyone is fearfull of them.
Look big steroid dude. We watch the UFC. We see little scrawny guys knocking the crap out of muscle guys. This is not the 1980's. We know you can't throw a punch because you have to many muscles.

Also the naked old guy think is the worst.

The other day there was a guy drying off at the gym and he was basically flossing his crack with his towel with one leg up on the bench it made me sad

Those are some of the reasons that I work out at home.

Although I do miss some the fine ladies that were always at the gym working out.

Arg, yes Larry E loved to party, but can we have a single thread during basketball season where we don't bring him up?
