Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I read this and one thought comes to mind:

Name me a tougher WBB conference from top to bottom.

Good notes, but, not sure about "The Big 12 does not get any easier as Iowa State will travel to Colorado on Jan. 16." I think/hope it does get a lot easier. We need 8 wins to play in our own dance. This has to be one of them, but, there are no easy games. I hope our morale hasn't suffered too much.

it really wont get easier.. each big 12 game can go either way.. what needs to happen is other players need to step up.. if we can have 3 players being consistent and then someone else every once in a while this team will be fine.. but we really need to get things going...

someone said in another thread that they did not like the negativity from BF and mentioned Bolte..
Heres a ? for all the Fanatics.. Do you remember her freshmen year? Bolte was hitting 3s, driving to the basket and creating her own shot.. right now she is down on her self and needs to find that confidence again.. also we need Poppens and Prins to grow fast..yes its not fair as they are freshmen but thats what needs to happen

I was just about to post on that. As a freshman she almost single handily led ISU to a near upset of the Paris Twins and OU. Bill needs to dig up that game film and show her it.

I do remember her freshman year, and I remember her shooting and scoring (like against Georgia Tech), but we had players like Ezell, Nisleit, and Lacey drawing the D and then kicking the ball out to her for open jumpers. I don't recall much "shot-creating" by Kelsey.
The only real creator we have is Alison, and it's not fair to Bolte, IMO.

Re: big 12 wbb is heating up

she used to drive all the time to the hoop along the sideline and she has been very hesitant to shoot the ball..
and we still have Lacey and Stuckey can drive.. we need a player like Cole or Whitney or even Mosman to be another threat out side but this is also y i say we need one of the post players to step up so there is a threat down low

Well it's not going to get any more fair to her next year with Lacey gone.
