    Post Season Remarks

First off let me start by saying there is nothing like the Cyclone nation!
I am very proud of the accomplishments and promising strides made by coach Rhoads and the 2009 football team. From beginning to the of the season the football team an staff stayed in close contact with our family giving us updates on everything and just genuinely showing concern for my brother. I was most impressed while at the gym with Money over the winter break when he told me "Man I want a Paul Rhoads t-shirt, that man is a beast". Just knowing that a player is that exciited about his head coach tells me he is totally sold to the program. I'd like to thank all the fans and students that have shown my brother love and kindness! We love ISU!

And by the way if anyone is wondering the status of Moneys rehab, I don't know what they gave him but he seems faster now than he did prior to the break. He told me he's only running at 90% but I can't tell the difference. He is poised for a big spring! Get ready!

Good to hear Money is doing well. I am sure he was bummed about missing much of such an exciting season, but speaking as a selfish Cyclone fan, I am thrilled we will get him for an extra year.

Another year for Darius and getting Parker back on medical hardship is like landing another two 4* recruits this year.

    Re: Post Season Remarks

City - Great to hear from you again....as always much appreciated and honest insight....

Now, i have a couple questions for you as it pertains to Money.

How big of an advantage will it be for Money to have been through summer practices, seen some game action but then have to sit through the rest of the year while being able to hear the coaching both in the film study but also while on the sidelines. You always hear about guys that get sidelined hear so much coaching and begin to see things they might not otherwise see - Has money talked at all about how his knowledge of the offense and specifically his reads as a wr and how that might help him blossom next fall?

I was disappointed that i did not see Coach Herman and the staff use Money's unique skill set in a more diversified way. I think he could run wildcat or on reverses where he can read and react either run it or step back and hit someone that might be wide open - only someone who's played qb can do those kind of things. Do you see the offense utilizing Money in a more diversified way next year - I hope so....

Thanks again City, hope to see you up here this fall!!!!

It is great to hear that the players are buying in to CPR as much as the fans are. That can only help the program. Also great to hear Money is doing well with the rehab. I can't wait to see what he can do on the field next fall!

    Re: Post Season Remarks

Cannot wait to see money next fall. To bad we didn't get to see him after the team had developed a sense of timing in their blocking. You could tell he has great, quick feet and some nice football instincts.

Make sure and pass along that Cyclone fans are wishing him well in his recovery and excited to see him return to the field. Oh, and that we hope his course work is going well also. I know CPR stresses this, but education is important! Make sure he takes full advantage of the educational opportunities currently available to him also. He will appreciate it later.

    Thanks for the update.

This say it all. If he doesn't leave ISU will be in a B12 title game within 3 years.

    Re: Post Season Remarks

I wasn't around during the season so I want to say what a neat year for ISU. In fact I honestly expected you guys to beat KU & I even predicted to my uncle you'd beat Nebbie (didn't expect it to go the way it did) They played with heart and passion all year long. They also seemed intent on playing serious D and I have long felt that would be ISU's key, much like Iowa's. A-rob is a joy to watch and Sims is a super star.

Finally Paul Rhoads is one of the good guys and it is nice to see guys like that win. He takes his kids seriously and it shows. In fact it is cool to see, PR, Mark Farley & KF interact with their teams as the kids all seem to like them immensely.

    Kudos to PR and ISU.

He played a couple of games early in the year. I am sure the staff did not get to utilize him as much as they would have liked. This redshirt year might be a blessing in disguise as far as getting Money more involved in the schemes.

    Re: Post Season Remarks

I don't know the in depth details for 2010 and I don't wanna prematurely speak, but I did ask Money if he had talked to Herman about this season's offense and he said there will be changes. He said Herman told him he will use him in as many ways as he can. I personally know that Money has mentioned lining up in the backfield and getting a few hand offs. We will see how spring goes, I'm excited!
