    Wireless Internet Help

My roommate started having problems with his wireless internet tonight. Our connection comes up on the list, but it gets stuck on "waiting for network to be ready", times out, and then connects to another network on the list. My laptop has no problems logging on to our network wirelessly... Any ideas? I've disabled the firewall with no luck, restarted the computer with no luck... I don't know what else to do... It is WPA encrypted and I know we're typing in the correct password.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

    Re: Wireless Internet Help

Not sure if it will help but when ever my network starts acting up I do the following:

Unplug the cable from the modem. Both electric and the coaxial.
    Then unplug the routers too.

Let them sit for a min or two, plug back in and things are usually good to go.

I thought about doing that, but if my laptop connects to it fine I don't know why that would fix anything on his laptop... maybe I'll give it a try anyway.

    Re: Wireless Internet Help

Check the Authentication mechanism it's set to as well, which is different than the encryption method. Your likely options will be Shared or Open depending on your router brand/model, but I don't have that information. If you can post the make/model of your router, and the Operating Systems you're using to connect, that might help people troubleshoot.
