Timberwolves general manager David Kahn recently offered Al Jefferson to the Pacers for forward Danny Granger, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Indiana president Larry Bird is still determined to build about Granger, but the belief is that Kahn is starting to doubt Jefferson's ability to be a cornerstone.
Minnesota may also be dealing with issues between forward Jefferson and Kevin Love.
"There's some jealous stuff that's playing out," one league source said.
You have to wonder now that this has come out if the Wolves will have to trade him if that is the case what can the Wolves get that would make sense?
Both recently signed big deals, so it's not a matter of expiring contracts. It just sounds like the Wolves want to go a different direction.
There's pretty much no way it will happen, but with Jefferson and Love both playing a similar type of game, it might make more sense to get an athletic big man in there that is a scorer, a la Chris Bosh.
"Karl Malone love making up jokes. Karl Malone always say, 'laughter is the best Mexican.' "
