a lifetime contract is ridiculous. you never know how/what a coach will be like in 10 years

It is not easy to win at Oregon State. If you have a winner, you fight to keep him.

what would the buyout be on a lifetime contract?? if say, he takes the deal and then totally starts mailing it in like three years from now because he's got tenure?? sorry if it says, i didn't check out the link.

OSU athletic director: "uh, well the buyout will be that we (OSU) will have to build two fifty foot statues that depict coach, name a building and our field after him, and 42.5 million dollars in the event that we realize that a lifetime contract is completely ******** and/or we don't keep winning"

    totally rediculous!!

but seriosuly, when are we offering CPR one of these

Of course he's going to say he's interested even if he knows he won't leave his alma matter. It's a great way to get a pay raise. No matter what he decides, I think it's fair to say he will be paid among the top 10 coaches in football.
