Great, great news! I loved the words in the first paragraph:

Iowa State has finalized what is essentially a lifetime contract with women's basketball coach Bill Fennelly.
    Lifetime Contract....I love it.

Guess that puts to rest the people saying JP was only giving him one more chance to climb the hill....and the "whispers".

Like I said Bill is 100% what JP is looking for. Well done JP couldn't agree more.

    Re: Fennelly Extended..

Couldn't say better things about Bill. The way he handled the Georgia game and actually turned it into a somewhat positive experience for his players was something that goes way beyond the court.

Two thumbs up, one for Bill becoming a Cyclone lifer, and the other for Jamie freakin' Pollard for having the testicular fortitude to not *****-foot around important issues and just get $hit done

    Re: Fennelly Extended..

Just to put into perspective what Bill Fennelly did for Iowa State women's basketball:

Chizik would have to raise attendance levels to 1,320,000 people per game to put the football team where coach Fennelly has the WBB program now.

I know it's an extreme exaggeration, but BF averaged just over 300 fans per game his first year...and this year he averaged around 8,800. That's almost a 29 times increase.

    Re: Fennelly Extended..

Great news. Congrats to Bill and a thank you to JP for doing what I believe was the right thing to do.

12 more years for Bill and my daughter will graduate high school in 11 years so Bill can still offer my daughter a scholarship. Sounds good to me.

    Re: Fennelly Extended..

This is great to hear. Coach Fennelly seems like such an honest, good-hearted, and highly-motivated guy: in other words, a true Iowan. I'm proud to have him represent us. He deserves this. Good work, JP!

    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.
