I'm glad about this. I've always like Tommy and welcome him to the Big 12. He adds more credibility to the conference.

    Re: Tuberville to TT

Curious if there will be much of a tough transition year or if they'll continue to play well (if not better)? He sounds like he'll keep the spread in place.

    Re: Tuberville to TT

He is a really, really good coach. Look at AU in 2004. How in the hell did they fire this guy? Idiots.

He will be a BIG hire for them. My hope though is to beat them this year and next while they are still getting used to his system.

    Re: Tuberville to TT

It doesn't affect ISU that much, but it isn't good. The few years we play Texas Tech, I think they will be solid. Tuberville is a good coach IMHO.

    Re: Tuberville to TT

Tuberville is a good coach, but this kind of seems like a square peg in a round hole. This also reminds me of the Bobby Knight hire which look how well he did at TT.

    Re: Tuberville to TT

Tubby can be the head coach, keep the offensive staff in place, and work on the defense. Very good hire for them IMO.

It would be hard for them to do better than Tubs.

Yes, and the year after that.

That was my point was that it doesn't really hurt ISU that bad since we don't play them every year (like this year or last year) but do play them depending on the rotation (like next year, or the year after that).

    Re: Tuberville to TT

Well Tuberville will likely bring a better defense to Tech. He had some very good D's at Auburn. Of course he may find it a little harder to get the horses on defense at TTech.

How good can Tubberville really be, he was replaced by a 5-19 coach!

    Re: Tuberville to TT

Not sure what to think if this hire... I think in the long run he'll be good but right now... Who is he going to get as assistants? Ruffin?? Awkward!!!
Do we still have a shot at Bush??

Do you realize that ISU had only one more loss this season than Auburn? That is just funny

    Re: Tuberville to TT

I think its a good hire for TT, really shows what Mike Leach did for that program. This is a quality coach that they wouldn't have been able to draw a decade ago.
