    I've never understood that either.

You'd think that they could get some sort of charitable tax benefit at least, say nothing of the good PR.

If wal mart was worried about good PR they wouldn't be the empire they are. They are perhaps the strongest business model out there today.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

Stores crush product instead of giving it away/ Donating because people come in the next week and try to take the merchandise back in exchange for cash or store credit. Many retailers do this......not just Wally World, where I refuse to shop as well.

I believe everything I read in any media source 100%. If it is printed anywhere, the actual events have to be exactly as described in said publication.

That must be you in your avatar. Otherwise, I see no reason why you'd stick up for Wal-Mart.

That must be you in your avatar if you think my statement had anything to do with sticking up for Wal-Mart.

I know that retail stores were doing this back in the 70's for the reason that goldmember stated.

Alright my precious. What's your agenda then? You must have one, as your post is completely pointless and really isn't that relevant to this thread.

It must be you in your avatar then....just making sure. Based on that I will use smaller words.

I could take or leave Wal-Mart of any other big box retailer. My point is that the general population reads a story such as this and takes it at its word. There is no thought that the story could be written by someone with an agenda, or exaggerated. There is also no thought that right or wrong, they may have a legitimate reason to do what they do, as has been pointed out elsewhere in the thread.

H&M is an upscale chain that has "higher-end" designer fashions at lower retail prices. Kind of like the Old Navy of the designer world.
