Look at Grand View ranked #6 in NAIA! I didn't even know they had a team.

Re: Pre National Dual Thread - WR - Sat/Sun

I like the bracket, I think the Ohio State/Wisky winner will give us a run for our money.

Fanthorpe was hurt at the beginnig of the season, and I agree with you, he really doesn't have the same pop I've seen from him last year. I hope he is good to go from here out.

I'm just hoping we meet the Hawks after three years of blowing our chances before the opportunity came up.

I want to believe we will win this but we wont. I dont think Gallick is due back for quite some time yet. Until we get a full and healthy line up we wont be able to beat the hawks. When we do I believe we can beat them. But definetly not until Gallick is back. I do like our chances of making the finals.

Actually I guess KJ said that Gallick's status is day to day... I could see us not using him the 1st couple rounds, but if make the finals i could see him wrestling....It will sure be interesting if he wrestles though.....

Re: Pre National Dual Thread - WR - Sat/Sun

I hope you are right, that would be wonderful. He has to get back to 100% though. From what I understood it was going to be a nagging injury all year round. Hopefully things have changed.

His injury almost reminds me of ARob's, one of those nagging injuries that gets a little better and if you push it or tweak it, right back it comes.

I hope you guys are correct on Gallick.

The kid from mayland (krom) is ranked 8th at 141, but it is still early in the Season.

I'm more worried about Cornell. Unless Wisconsin and OSU have been sandbagging, Cornell looks like they can beat both of them. We should be favored in at least six matches against Cornell, but Fanthorpe and Burke are ones who are higher ranked by only a few places over the Cornell wrestlers.

Iowa should make the finals, even though their side of the bracket appears tougher. Their tougest match could be Minnesota, where like our matches with the two, bonus points could be the difference.

Re: Pre National Dual Thread - WR - Sat/Sun

Grandview just started a wr team a few years ago.

Gallick will wrestle if we need him, Fanthorpe's injury is one that he will have wether he rests or not. Keep in mind Iowa does not have their starters, and Minnesota did not have a full line up either. If one of those 3 teams shows up with a healthy intact line up they could roll, that being said another team could also certinally upset anyone. I also know Duke had a brace on his sholder last weekend. I like ISU to take the finals in a close match over Iowa, Dennis, Bettey, and Erekson are all out with injuries, makes them ripe for the picking, I believe 157 will go our way and Long is to the point where he could win as well.

Definitely Cornell. I believe Pucillo is out for Ohio State, and if he's not in the line-up, there is little chance they will win. I see an ISU v. Cornell semi

Also, Dennis hasn't been himself lately and I don't think he wrestled at Midlands. If he is out of the line-up for Iowa, we still have a shot at beating the Hawks. Long is really closing the gap on McDonough and has a good chance to upset him this weekend...GO CYCLONES!!

ALSO: I believe the semis and finals are being broadcast on IPTV Sunday. I think semis are tape delay and finals are live Sunday, at 3pm.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver."
