    TCU Deserved a Chance

This article makes a ton of great points for TCU. The points he makes are very good and I believe, just as I have for the last month, TCU deserves a shot just as much as Texas. Keep in mind I despise Pat Forde.

I vigorously disagree with people who panned this Fiesta Bowl as an exclusionary BCS tactic to keep the guys from the "little conferences" from embarrassing champions of the power six leagues.
I feel this is exactly the reason these 2 were matched up against each other.

Exactly, it would have been disaster if one of these teams had won a BCS game. What do you do if Boise State goes on to beat a Cincy or Florida? Add that to their win against Rose Bowl participant Oregon and the case starts to build pretty quickly that the BCS has failed to determine a true national champion. With a TCU BSU matchup, you eliminate that possibility. This game is a total cop out.

What do you do if TCU wins this one by 20 like I think they will? I think TCU could beat either of the teams in the championship.

    Re: TCU Deserved a Chance

I would love for the winning coach and players of the Fiesta to lay claim the National Title. If I were the AD of the winning school, I'd have a trophy made and hold a press conference for the presentation.

In my eyes there has never been a true "national champion" in major college football. Teams like Michigan, Texas, etc just win the popularity contest to play in "the game" at the end of the year and one of them takes home a trophy that might as well be made of frozen unicorn tears.
