    Brackins - one more year?

What are the chances of Craig staying for his senior year? I don't know if his YTD performance has moved him up or down in the draft. He is doing a great job with the assists and seems to really enjoy this team.

    Your thoughts.....

he has not done much this year to become a 1st round draft pick.....i thought there was a 0% chance for a senior season in november, now I think 50/50

Re: Brackins - one more year?

I was thinking about this yesterday. His PPGs have definitely fallen off, and it's possible that his draft status may have slipped some. If it slips far enough I could definitely see him coming back. Hopefully for his sake, coming back this year didn't screw him out of an NBA career.

Re: Brackins - one more year?

there is still no chance. his age prohibits it. and regardless of what the haters say, he's had a good season, his ppg will go up in conference play and he's shown real improvement in important parts of his game. The only thing I've seen that will lower his draft status is his age (the NBA drafts potential, 24yo players don't have potential, they have the skills they will have), which is why he can't come back for his senior season.

Craig has definitely become more versatile this year, and is letting the game come to him. It would be hard for him to put up similar numbers since he is surrounded by a much stronger cast this year.

Maybe this is well known, just not by me. Why the heck is CB so old (comparatively speaking)?

I think it's because of the length of time between now and the day he was born. But I could be wrong.

Re: Brackins - one more year?

    I didn't realize he was 24. I'm 24, and graduated in 2007. I figured he was like 20-21.

At his age, staying another year would be giving up on the NBA.

    I believe he is 22 not 24.

Ah yes, why didnt I think of that. Ok, another way - why is he 24 and still a junior and not 20 or 21 like most other players.

Re: Brackins - one more year?

At this point it's hard to imagine him being drafted in the first round. However, in the past we've had players forego their senior seasons and then go undrafted entirely.

Yep, he's 22. See lower in the article. Craig Brackins - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

He went to prep school for a year.

He is 22 now. If he stayed his senior year, he'd be 24 before he played an NBA game.

He is older than most juniors because he spent a year at prep school between HS and ISU.
