    Where does ARob rank

Among the all times ISU great RBs?

He is the best since Hayward. When healthy he is one hell of a back, and does it all well. He is going to be a 4 year starter something no ISU RB has ever done.

He is not better than Troy Davis, but has to be in the same area with Darren, Haywood, and Bryant.

I think if he can stay healthy and have a year like I'd expect him to have next year, he will certainly be in the conversation with those four.

    Re: Where does ARob rank

Well A-Rob's only about 500 yards and nine touchdowns shy of Ennis Haywood, but he certainly can't touch the Davis brothers. After looking stats for Dexter Green and Blaise Bryant I don't think he's in that league either. Could be in the discussion for top five after that group with a monster season though.

With another season, considering ARob is at 2363, he should pass Strachan easily and would pass green with an equal season to this one.

Since when is the Yankees' 3-bagger playing running back for Iowa State?

    Re: Where does ARob rank

In 2009, ARob did not play

    2nd half of baylor game
    entire nebraska game
last 3 quarters of kansas state game
hobbled half of the kansas game
    4th quarter of army game

and still had 1100 yards. Great season for him.

Ennis had 1300 yards his senior season(2001), not sure how much he was injured. I assume he was healthy for most of it. Great season for him as well. I think he had over 1000 his junior year because I remember hearing we had a long streak of 1k yard rushers.

Troy and Darren rank ahead of them both

That's what I was thinking, kinda mid pack. The thing is we're in a more pass happy football time now, so it makes it more impressive the numbers he's putting up.

He's not real flashy, but just seems to get the job done. When we got to the end of the Insight game, I was startled he had 150 yards. It just didn't seem like he got that much during the game.

Troy and Darrin were amazing, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for Ennis. He could run through people and was Mr. dependable.

I've really missed our run game after Ennis graduated up until ARob came into the picture.

    Re: Where does ARob rank

ARob is such a complete back. Perfect for this offense. May not get as many yards as the other, but I am guessing he is number 3 after next season.

I also predict some NFL team will be pleasantly surprised with him. Prototype 3rd down NFL back.
