Cyclones Hold Lafayette to School Record 25 Points in 67-25 Win
AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women’s basketball team cruised to a 67-25 win over Lafayette College as the Cyclones won their 10th straight contest Sunday night at Hilton Coliseum. Chelsea Poppens led the way for Iowa State with her second career double-double and the Cyclone defense held the Leopards to the lowest scoring output by an ISU opponent in school history.
Poppens scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds. Alison Lacey finished with 11 points, moving her into ninth place on the Iowa State career scoring chart, passing Tracy Gahan in the process. Lacey now has 1,362 points in her career. Lacey also contributed five rebounds, nine assists and was 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.
