    Re: Housing

Almost everybody you talk to will recommend Friley. Martin and Eaton are very nice but you don't really get the whole dorm experience with those from what I've heard.

Go with Friley. Closer to all the engineering clases.

    Re: Housing

Martin/Eaton is nice. Easy place to study. Air conditioned.

Friley has a lot of character as a building. Don't think it's all air conditioned but I could be wrong.

Old RCA isn't even close to either of those.

Proximity really doesn't mean much. Most of your freshman classes won't be in the engineering buildings anyways.

old rca will give you a good dorm experience and air conditioning...but quite the hike to engineering bldgs.

    Re: Housing

Friley is the obvious choice. You will have the best dorm experience in Friley. The "suites" (Eaton/Martin) are just that...expensive rooms with too many rules. Old RCA is way to far away from the buildings you will use in any Engineering major.

I think housing for the fall semester is announced on Access Plus on either June 1 or July 1 every year.

I know I didn't find out until April at the earliest. I sent mine in before leaving for vacation in the middle of March so I know it wasn't any sooner than that. Wanna say summer because my roommate was on the baseball team and we spent a bus ride to Iowa Falls talking about it?

    Re: Housing

Man do I miss the days when Knapp and Storms were up. My mom wanted to know why I wanted to live out there (parties) and when we went on a school visit she asked why there was steel cages everywhere around the main level outside. The tour director told her it was to protect us from falling chunks. She looked at me and I had a huge smirk on my face and was like "yeah, I'm a gonna rock this place!"
