For playing abilities or other abilities?

Mos and Flo can put up a helluva battle.

That said, Aus is fun to watch. A lot of fun.

Aus is great, but Pop is fun to watch.

NOBODY plays harder than Danae. Her offensive skills are not quite legendary, but everyone in the building gets a big kick when she squirts out of the lane with an offensive rebound and kicks out to somebody for a three.

She's maybe 5'-5", but trails only Pop in rebounds(by 2), second in steals, and leads the league in floor burns.

    Re: Favorite Player

I know Allison Lacey doesn't seem like a very thoughtful pick but her freshman year was the first year I lucked my way into the women's pep band so it has been very fun to watch her career.

Denae Stuckey would be my runner-up. I remember joking with some bandmates at the Big XII tourney last year that she really could shoot and Bill had told her to just wait until the post-season to use it as a secret weapon. Watching her proceed to drain a handful of threes that weekend was both hilarious and gratifying.

    Re: Favorite Player

If I had to pick 1 probably Poppens because I think she is going to be one helluva player by the time she is done here.

Now if you want to talk about looks, I'm going to throw a name out there that might throw some of you off. She used to be on the team but I think she's just a student assistant now or something on the bench: Brittney Lange. This is her profile from her last year on the roster but it doesn't do her justice if you have seen her in street clothes on the bench: Brittany Lange - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

Her nose for the ball on those rebounds is pretty amazing. If the bigs get complacent for just a second she will rush in and take it. She plays WAY more under control than she did two years ago. She still has all of that energy and hustle but it's almost all channeled to positive results and not turnovers.

I really like Pop as well. If she could shoot beyond four feet she would remind me a lot of Megan Taylor, especially the way she plays so hard on the interior.

Perhaps she will develop a perimeter shot before she's done!
