    Tis the season

First MT gets in trouble and now an Iowa wrestler was found in his car passed out with a BA content of .198. They found him in a parking ramp with puke all over him and all over his car.

So, the Clown Squawk series is 1 - 1.

    Re: Tis the season

Pssh. What a weenie. When I got my public intox, I had a BAC of .327. They almost forced me to go to the hospital for a stomach pumping, but I talked them out of it because I wasn't blacked out. The worst part was that I missed the game that night....

    Re: Tis the season

I blew a .267 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I believe it was halftime of the Texas game in '98 or '99. That sucked because I had to stay in jail from 2 until 6 the next morning.

    Friends, I have witnessed the near-impossible.... I have seen a man blow a .345 into a breathalizer.

Well now, I'm not sure how much I would brag about my BAC, but cyclone62, that is quite impressive, .327.

I got arrested at about 4pm, and almost wasn't below the limit at 9AM the next day; blew a .075... They made me sit in the paddy-wagon for 2 hours and wouldn't let me go to the bathroom, so I peed in the corner of the wagon. When they figured that out, they made me mop it out when we got to jail. Also, I was supposed to go out to eat with my girlfriends parents after that game. Oops!

    Re: Tis the season

The potential in-law dinner drove you to the drink. It's ok, we understand. Just as long as you didn't yank down an exit sign.

On this issue and the media reporting it...lucky for us we're being upstaged by the NCAA tournament and Iowa's coaching situation.

Funny, we always complain about the DMR putting us on the last page while Iowa gets all the headlines. And now, for once - it's working in our favor!

    Re: Tis the season

I think we all have stories. Maybe that's part of the reason I'm not ready to burn MT at the stake just yet. Punish him, yes; throw him under the bus, no.

Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

I blew a .065 at the party cove at Lake of the Ozarks. The breatalizer had to be not working. My cousin got pulled over by the same cop 20 minutes later and blew the same thing.

    Re: Tis the season

Best friend was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. The family never let out exactly what killed him, yet the casket was closed. To this day many of us believe he was trapped in the car and burned alive - as we saw the car and how he would've been pinned inside.

This man would've been in my wedding, I in his, etc. He came from eastern Iowa to Ames at least once a month to visit while I was at school. Everybody loved him.

So I get a bit ticked when I hear of folks driving drunk and the like. Especially when it's treated as a joke or something that's ok to do.

There it is. Call me what you want for having a negative opinion on drunk drivers or extreme alcohol abusers if you want - I couldn't care less.

I was referring only to drunk in public. Drunk driving is not excusable.

Nope, I was just calling him a weenie. I guess the posts to chaos this thread was.... 1!

To whomever sent me negative rep for my BAC above: The only reason I"m proud of that number is because when multiplied by 10, it's still a LOT lower than my Cumulative GPA here at ISU . If I were to get a 3.27 for a semester, it would drop my Cum. average quite a bit.

    Re: Tis the season

I have to be pretty forgiving toward MT's problems as well. My friends and I used to do "pranks" at ISU.

First, it was serenading the Sororities, pretending to be a fictitious Fraternity.

Then, it was "steam-tunnelling". Man, we ruled the night under the ISU campus. Fortunately, we didn't fall down any of the elevator shafts into the nuke fall-out shelters. (You'd crap yourself if you'd know how deep they are under the campus.)

Then it was violating every one of the 10 Estes rocket rules. Including a spectacular homemade RPG that exploded on the side of the Design Center, leaving a nice-sized scorch mark that was there until I graduated.

I was a ROTC guy, so I stole a flare rocket during training, and set it off down the hallway in Helser Hall. It broke a window, and burned itself out on the hillside next to the Music Center.

Our last prank could've killed someone, and that's where we stopped. We built an extremely high tech water balloon cannon that actually cut a hole in a window of a certain Fraternity along Lincoln Way. (They were ****** because we were trying to steal their Sorority sisters, see point #1, above, and we were retaliating for something they did to us.) No *****, a water balloon, under enough velocity, will actually punch a hole in glass. We didn't know that, and luckily, it must not have hit someone on the other side of said glass, as we would've read about it in the obituaries.

That doesn't count the time we raced motorcycles across campus using the sidewalks, broke into Old Botany and stole a dentist chair, or test-fired a homemade flint-lock in Schiletter Village. (Oops!)

There is more, but statutes of limitations being what they are....
