    Lacey Moves Up Charts as Cyclones Escape With Win

    AMES, Iowa – Senior Alison Lacey moved into the top 10 of Iowa State’s career scoring chart and moved up to fourth place in career assists as she led the Cyclones to a 66-62 win over North Carolina A&T in the Cyclone Challenge Tuesday night at Hilton Coliseum.

    Lacey finished with 22 points to move into 10th place with 1,330 career points. She passed former teammate Heather Ezell, who was in attendance while on break from playing in Iceland. Freshman Chelsea Poppens had 12 points, including 10 in the first half, and Kelsey Bolte finished with 10. Denae Stuckey recorded a season-high tying 10 rebounds to lead ISU on the glass.

    “Alison Lacey was the only player on our team that decided to show up tonight from start to finish,” Fennelly said. “I want to apologize to our fans. What happened tonight was totally unacceptable. It is my responsibility to have the team ready to play if we’re not ready to play. And if it happens again, I quit.”
    I don't blame him one bit either, that was as flat as I have seen the team play in a long time!
