    Fox Sports Net Markets

Can someone tell me what is the Fox Sports Net affiliate for central Iowa. A friend and I are having a discussion about whether or not tonights' Wild game will be broadcast without the need for NHL Center Ice.

I am under the impression from living in Story City, that our regional sports affiliate is Comcast Sports Chicago and not Fox Sports North which to my knowledge doesn't start until you are north of the Ft. Dodge area.

I am fairly confident that no bar in central Iowa has NHL Center Ice for it's patrons, so we are trying to determine if the Wild game will be available with the standard "Sports Pack." If you have the "Sports Pack" you will receive all of the sporting events that are covered in your market, but no out of market games. So in order to watch the Wild game tonight we would have to be in the FS North market.

Fox Sports Kansas City...you are both wrong

The Paramount by Buc's Arena in Windsor Heights has NHL Center Ice

I believe it is Fox Sports Midwest, based out of St. Louis. At times we get Fox Sports Kansas City programming, too.

When I lived in DSM and had Directv it was Fox Sports out of Minnesota.

    DirecTV? Dish Network? Cable?

You can enter your zip code on the DirecTV website, and it will show you what RSN you get automatically, and which ones you get if you have the Sports Pack. There is an overlap in Iowa, so it's possible to get multiple pro markets (without blackout) via the Sports Pack.

Yeah, it depends on your service provider. Trying to figure out which FSN/CSN affiliate you have is a bit like mapping the human genome.
