Forbes - Most Valuable College FB Programs

Great article. I find the business aspect of college sports fascinating.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

It'd be interesting to see a list of all 119 (120?) FBS schools and the $$ amounts associated with them.

I thought Ohio State would be higher, always thought of them and Texas as 1 and 2, but maybe that would be more total athletic programs not just football

I'm kind of surprised that EIU didn't make it. (no , for real). I would have put them higher then Mich State. That rank shocked me.

They included donations to the athletic department so I could see where a big donation or two could really increase the yearly revenue. I would assume that's a big reason why lists like these change every year.

Exactly, they explicitly stated that was how OSU made the list. I think the effect on the counties revenue also gave some of this Big 12 schools an edge. The effect of a Nebraska game compared to the typical local economy has to be much more than a USC or Miami.
