    Jesse Smith

Insight Bowl: Jesse Smith's life represents a winning proposal | desmoinesregister.com | The Des Moines Register

Iowa State football coach Dan McCarney invited Smith to walk on his team in 2005.

One of the toughest kids I ever brought to Iowa State, McCarney said last week. A true rags to riches Cyclone story.

Smith also was invited to the Cyclone wrestling team after winning a 215-pound state high school championship in 2005.

Does Jesse make All Big 12 with Dan's coaching staff? I think he played entirely differently this year, and thank God for us he did.

He is great. I do however hate to see people get married this young. You know nothing at this age. Good luck to him in the future.

If I married my college GF, I would have killed myself by now. She looked like the Mikado, and she used makeup to look that way... plus she played the harp. Jesus, what was I thinking? Oh, I was getting some. That's right...

You were in love man. Yeah that is another part of it. If you wait till your about 30 years old you kind of get to see what she is giong to look like the rest of her life. That may sound shallow but if you are not attracted to your wife you are going to be in a whole world of hurt.

    Re: Jesse Smith

The key is you have to get your woman by the time she is 23. Because in college they are still dependent on their parents and friends but once they become independent outside of college they are IMPOSSIBLE to deal with.
So I say do what i did, find the girl you are going to marry your last year of college than marry her several years later, after you have her trained. Otherwise you have to wait till after woman are 30 and start thinking about being single the rest of their lives.

Just comes naturally to me. Some see it as a curse, but I feel realism is truly a blessing.

on a side note, i used to live in Albequrque when i was very young and my parents still say it was the most beautifull place they have ever lived. Although i hear it is a little dirtier of a town now.

    Re: Jesse Smith

Let's see... Cops was filmed on location so many times that the mayor told them not to come back.

The San Dias are beautiful, and there are 7 national parks in the state. I miss the green of IA, but we live on the westside of town and can see the whole range. There are other cities in which I would live- but they need to be close to an airport and opportunity. I am a singer, and the Santa Fe opera is one of the best in the US, and it is only 50 min away.

Nothing better than watching COPS in your town. Versus or somebody had a COPS marathon on and a block of them was in Kansas City and I watched everyone of them.

How this has anything to do with Jesse Smith I have no idea.
