I'll be in the Twin Cities for New Years and am looking for a bar that other clones will be gathering.

Sensor's has the best buffalo chicken sandwich in the Twin Cities. Waffle fries with seasoned sour cream.

    Man I miss that place.

Sensers in Bloomington is the typical ISU game watch location. Don't know if there is a formal game watch for the bowl game, but that place is your best bet to find fellow ISU fans

Not to be the spelling police... but it's senser, not sensor.
Any location in mpls is great.

Here's some info. that the ISUAA Club of the TC sent out. Senser's seems to be the place, but you better get there early if you want a table or seat. I wish I could make it, but I'll be at home watching the game with a 31 day old cyclone fan! GO STATE!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Insight Bowl Gamewatch - ISU vs. Minnesota

The Iowa State football team is going bowling! The Cyclones will play the Minnesota Gophers in the 2009 Insight Bowl on December 31 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. Come on down and join your fellow Cyclone fans for some New Years Eve fun at Joe Senser's Sports Grill in Bloomington for the 5 p.m. kickoff. The game will only be available on the NFL network.

    WHAT:
    Gamewatch for the Insight Bowl.

    WHEN:
Sunday, December 31. Game time is 5 p.m.
Try to arrive early since parking and tables will be in high demand from both Cyclone and Gopher fans because of the limited TV coverage.

    WHERE:
    Joe Senser's Sports Grill
    4217 West 80th
    Bloomington

Brass Rail, 422 Hennepin Ave Minneapolis is where most gopher fans 'hang out.'

Nice! For those of you who don't know, Brass Rail is a gay bar.

    How original!

Typo by the author (me!), it happened when I was doing an email for two outings that include the wrestling team meeting the Gophers on SUNDAY. I also might help if I wasn't drafting these emials at midnight but that's when I have the free time to do it. Hope that gets corrected in the update email going out today to our local alumni.

I think we will have a LOT of Cyclones at Senser's based on the email traffic and bulletin board inquires I have seen. I'll be there early and suggest that anyone planning to come get there early as well. Both parking and tables could be at a premium. I called Senser's and told them to expect a big crowd.

BTW, if you haven't been there before, Senser's has a dozen or so big 10-foot screens and I expect most to be on our game.
