Am i one the last few that still believe Jay Cutler is a great qb?

think about this, our o line sucks, our #1 wide receiver is hester, and all run game has been down the hole, might i add the play calling from ron turner has been so plain that anyone can catch onto what he is doing.

At least kyle orton had people targeting forte.

In denver, he had brandon marshall to ruin all coverages. All he had to do was toss it in the right area and he knows it will be caught for sure, and if he was too deeply covered he would throw it to eddie royal. This tandem has worked very well for many qbs.

Look at reggie wayne and clark, moss and welker, austin and crayton, fitzgerald and boldin, maclin and jackson, etc.

All the great qbs have 2 wrs to throw too. Normally one that is typically a physical monster, and another that has the soft hands for the posession receiver.

I dont understand why is cutler completely scrutinized considering people already knew our line sucked and we had no wr's to compliment him, so it is a work in progress. We all saw how amazing cutler can be with the right tools, it is not his fault he is not competing at the same level. Its like giving a 16 year old kid a ferrari at a race course, he would never get the car to go at its fullest potential, rather the opposite way.

and i know there is typos and grammar error before anyone points it out, im just about to leave so i typed this in a rush

Good point. He has the worst WRs in the NFL. Just like people think that AA got 'bad' for us this year after we lost our only playmaker WR last year in Sumrall and Money got hurt right away.

A pair of stud WRs will make a bad QB look average and an average QB look good.

I'm sorry, 20+ interceptions is horrific no matter how you cut it. Yeah, the players around him suck, but damn.

As a Packer fan I think you should send your enthusiam to the Bears front office. Just so they sign him longer assuming the rest of the Bears fans like him as much as you do. As a Packer fan. I love him.

you do realize half of them is because the receivers + olsen dont realize, if a blitz is coming from your end, your supposed to cut back to help the qb out.

knox did that at least 4 times when interceptions went his way

I think Cutler has the arm and ability to be a top 5 QB in the NFL. He confuses me though. At times he seems like a competitor and other times he seems like a baby and is lazy.

You could have put Peyton Manning under center and the Bears wouldn't have made the playoffs this year though

I totally agree with this. The O line and weak receivers are the main culprits here, but who knows. The Bears won't find out either because Denver has all of their draft picks!

Cutler has the physical tools, but his decision making is incredibly poor at times. His range from his best to his worst is huge.

I agree completely. No QB has a chance with the OLine that we have and the complete lack of receivers. Angelo and Lovie have also dismantled, mishandled and destroyed the Defense that Rivera had built into a force.

IMO the Bears need to find a new GM who can build a team that will win. Then if not find a new Head Coach get two new Coordinators.

i would be ****** too thinking i have to carry the team entirely on my back on offense.

" lets see, i have no running back, i have no wide receivers, i have no offensive line, no defense, well i do have my rocket arm, but i got no one to throw too...****"

he takes a huge beating time after time because the line cant even hold a 4 man front. Not only that, the media destroys him because he gets put in a ****** situation and has to do something about it. If he takes the sack, he will get blamed for, if he throws the int, he will get blamed for, if its another 3 and out while they are 2 scores behind, he will get blamed for.

anyone in that position would be ticked.

this, jerry angelo and lovie smith has been messing with our drafts and been hiring horrible people over the years.

ron rivera was the best thing that happened to our defense, now lovie smith just hires his closest friends.

seriously, i like forte, and think hes an awesome rb, but hes too small to be any "between the tackles" rb that many have hoped. He is more of a third down passing back like chester taylor has done when AP got into the mix.

Re: Am i one the last few that still believe Jay Cutler is a great qb?

I'm not ready to say he is terrible, but I can't imagine any Bears fan that is happy with the trade thusfar, and the future does not look bright at all. The Bears don't have a pick until the 3rd round of the draft, and are not known for making big splashes in the free agent market. And even if they would try to make some moves, who is going to be out there? How are they going to fill their holes? In my opinion, Chicago is at least another year away from playing .500 football, and Cutler is going to continue to underperform.
