    Cotman-Blythe Interview

Anyone else listening to this? Todd Blythe signs with the Iowa Barnstormers, and the Cotman asks him next to nothing about it. Instead he talks to him about whether or not he saw the success of the New Orleans Saints coming when he was in training camp with them two years ago. Mentions that if the saints and colts make the super bowl it will be Peyton versus Peyton. How is Blythe supposed to respond to that? Then he goes on to ask him about what he thinks of CPR since Blythe played for him under Mac. Problem is, he never did.
I know it's been said before but Larry Cotlar is a terrible interviewer. It's embarrassing how bad he is.

So Blythe is going to not block and half-*** it for the AFL-2 now? Neat.

AFL-1, actually. He'll do well; seems suited for the Arena game.

Okay... Not the point of the thread, but I guess that's your choice.

So what did Todd have to say about Drake Basketball, when asked?

say what you will, but he was arguably the best WR in cyclones history. certainly haven't had a threat at WR since he left that is for sure.

i'd take him back. there is a reason he started 4 years, he was good.

I did say what I wanted to say, and if I was wrong he wouldn't be playing for the Barnstormers.

    Re: Cotman-Blythe Interview

He wasn't even the best on the team! You are way off if you think best of all time. Luther Blue and Tracey Henderson come to mind, not to mention Ike Harris. Blythe had a great game at Texas A & M and his last two years, he couldn't get seperation and was sent deep as a decoy.

Whoa, Larry Cotlar occasionally reads this site. We shouldn't be bashing him. His feelings might get hurt.

...all kidding aside, he doesn't do a very good interview.

I'm not so worried about him, it's his family and friends are what concerns me.

Cotlar always interrupts people also, gets on my nerves. Between Out of Bounds and Jim Rome though, tough choice.

    Re: Cotman-Blythe Interview

I still have a hard time understanding how Blythe couldnt make it as a role player in the NFL. With his vert and hands, he could have made for a good 3rd down\end zone player.

In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.
