Watching the game in Cedar Falls...

One of my best friends is thinking of doing a New Year's Eve party in Cedar Falls. He lives about 2 houses west of Mojo's on the Hill, and has cable, so we can't watch the game there. Would Beck's or the OP likely have the game on? That would be nice as they're in walking distance.

I would assume Becks would have the game on.

Sounds good. Looks like it will be Becks due to convenience. I like Becks the most out of those three anyways.

Honest question, Al, have you ever been to the same place twice?

Si. I am a bit of a rambler though. I know CF well because my GF went to UNI, and two of my best friends from home go to UNI, so I've spent a few nights partying up there in my time.

Re: Watching the game in Cedar Falls...

As I will be back in Iowa Falls for practices by the 28th, I was considering travelling over to CF for New Year's/Insight festivities. Could this blossom into a full-blown unofficial gamewatch at Becks?

I know this thread is about watching the game...but these businesses make me think of one that isn't listed and the thought of it makes me very hungry! OP! I could go for a large OP pizza right now...for myself! Yum!

I may be interested. Game should be done early enough to talk gf into grabbing dinner there before catching up with her friends.

Cyclone fans in a CF bar? I think that would cause some kind of disruption in the time/space continuum.

I have found the Old Chicago in CF to be somewhat Cyclone friendly. I watched the Nebraska beating there. It's probably not the type of place you're looking for though.
