    Re: Survivor

The jury likes Russell more than I thought they would and doesn't like Mick as much as I thought they would. Should be very interesting. I kinda wonder if that lie to Brett will come back to bite Russell. It was completely unnecessary to say those things after he won.

I've watched every season and I can tell you regardless of how deserving a person is they jury doesn't like to give a miliion dollars to people who lied constantly or people who already have a lot of money.

Russell made some brilliant moves, but part of the game is dealing with other people. He was not as good in that department as Natalie.

That was the worst final vote in the history of this show... No single person has deserved it more than Russell.

    Maybe Terry Dietz.....

But this season, Russell clearly should be the winner.

This guy has been my favorite player and I think he played the social game much stronger than Russell and was also a dominant immunity challenge player.

Russell did things that nobody had ever done before, but I think people are really overlooking the fact that Russell struggled in one of the most important areas: social interaction.

    Re: Survivor

I liked Russell up until this last week. He couldn't talk enough about how great he played, and how undeserving the others were. I think he sealed his own fate by being a total A-Hole, particularly at the final tribal.

I thought the look on his face after Erik's speech was priceless. He thought he had come up with and gave this Knute Rockne type speech that would knock everybody's socks off and secure his $1 million. Then, Erik comes in and gives a Lou Gehrig speech to close it out, that I believe swayed at least a couple of votes. Enough for the win. I wanted Russell to win throughout. But, his arrogance and mouth the past couple of episodes really wore on me, and I couldn't be happier that he didn't win...

I think that's the first time I've seen a speech by a jury member that actually swayed votes. He almost made me think that Natalie was the best player. That was a great speech and Natalie should give him half because without that speech I don't think she wins.

    Re: Survivor

Yeah, I'm surprised Probst didn't say anything about Erik's speech on the reunion show. I also thought Erik nailed it when he said that winning Survivor is an arbitrary process. There is no magic formula. You could tell that Erik wanted the thing just as bad as Russell did.
