    NFL vs Telivision rights

I have a serious question for you contract loving Lawyers or wannabes of the same. Not being one of those that have the abillity to read and understand the lingo of legal words of contracts, can someone please explain to me which one gets to decide which game is televised, the NFL or the Affiliates or the local stations.

Was hoping to watch the Bears this Sunday but I see their time to play changed and in effect FOX televised a game between NY Jets and the Falcons. I understand that the bears have no chance at the play offs but niether does any of those two and I bet that the fans for those two teams in this area are very low, much lower then the Bear fans. Be honest I would rather even watch the Chiefs then the two teams that they showed.

Thanks for the help in advance and I just saw how I spelled television

i think the Bears were supposed to be on Fox in CR early, but the game pushed back due to the weather. I know eagles-49ers was. they had to put someone on.

Local Stations can decide which of the games that their network has the rights to that they want to air as long as a game isn't blocked out for their local market by the NFL.

MMM OK, so the real question is how was the decision by the Local Fox channel made to air the game they did.

    Thanks MelMel.
