GOODYEAR, Ariz. The Iowa State men's golf team*tallied its best scores of the spring season Monday*in the Ron Moore Invitational at the Palm Valley Golf Club. The Cyclones shot two rounds of 289, eclipsing their spring-best score by two strokes previously held in the second round at the All-American Intercollegiate Invitational. ISU stands in 12th place out of 17 teams. Wichita State has a 12-stroke lead over host school Denver as the Shockers were 24-under par for the day. Boise State's Troy Merritt was the only player to shoot both rounds in the 60's to lead all competitors while Northern Iowa's Kyle Bermel fired a hole-in-one.*
