Peyton Manning comments after game last night...

did any of you hear peyton mannings comments after last nights game when asked if they wanted to keep playing and go undefeated? and if they would beg the coach to do so?

He said that of course they want to keep playing, but would not question the coach. The coach is the leader and makes the rules, thats how a team works. what they say go, no matter what...

ill have more of peytons... thats what is missing in to many kids in todays game.

ps i posted this a reply to the bobby knight thing... sorry for those that read it twice.

Look at the top 3 QBs in the NFL right now. Brees, Manning, and Brady. All of them are first class.

Brady is definately not a Top 3 right now. Just saying, but yes those 3 are 1st class, but who isnt that's a QB.

Edit-Top 3 are Brees, Favre, Rivers based on overall ratings...just wanted to check myself to make sure I wasnt wrong

Re: Peyton Manning comments after game last night...

Warner, although his team isn't the best, set a record with Unitas for consecutive qb ratings of 120... or something like that... I am just saying that there is some good play going on right now. I think it is COMPLETELY amazing that we got to see not only the patriots go 16-0 in our lifetime, but also to see two teams go undefeated this late in the year only two years later. I like the fact that the colts and the saints aren't the richest markets too.

I'm guessing many of these supposed "first class" guys are very Tiger Woods like in their personal lives. The only reason we think they're first class is because what ESPN says about them and what they're told to act like in public for their image.

As much as I don't like the Colts, Peyton Manning is a stud football player. I think all need to take a step back before we start calling people first class individuals....insert Tiger. Get my point?

Re: Peyton Manning comments after game last night...

im not calling him first class as in he doesnt like other women or anything... i dont know, dont care... i also dont care that tiger slept with other girls...

my point was on how he plays for the team and coach. no one scripted his answer lasnt night, and he also basically said it doesnt matter if i agree or not, the coach is the leader, and what he says to do, we do.

Definitely not a hater of Manning. He's the best QB ever and I will watch him play anytime hes on. I will not call somebody "first class" when I don't know him though.

Re: Peyton Manning comments after game last night...

it just seems to me like people are waiting for them to do something terrible. I heard someone say, "I can't wait for Tebow to do what Tiger did!"

That is a sad sad comment of today's society. Public figures, whether it be congressmen or professional athletes using steroids or cheating on their wives, can't be counted on as role models for kids.

Then when someone like tebow comes along, he catches the most crap. Good for peyton, because he is truly a stand up guy.
