Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

i don't think we have much of a chance with tonga. he visited washington earlier and it is very hard to compete with washington and the beautiful campus and school that washington has. i would think if a recruit goes to washington he would fall in love with their scenic campus and being close to a very pretty scenic area around seattle and the surrounding area.

Tonga has 3 schools listed, and visited the other 2. Gayden is not interested in ISU, so Mahoney is the only guy we seem to have a legit shot in landing.

There is still time for Tonga to visit ISU. I agree that Gayden is a longshot though. I have not read on Mahony currently, but I think he has a lot of good offers.

If Tonga visits ISU and likes our staff better, that could easily trump the lovely Washington campus. ISU is very pretty when it's not 10 degrees out too.

I think a lot of kids end up picking their school based on their relationship to the coaching staff. Except for the superstars that choose their school based on who they can win a championship with, most kids care about who they will be playing for over everything else.
