    Homeless dude's cover of Creep on Opie and Anthony

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXlzci1rKNM]YouTube - Homeless Mustard Sings Creep on O&A's XM/Sirius show[/ame]

    Wow. This guy is actually really good. Apparently they were sort of auditioning crazy homeless people to exploit for entertainment value, and they found this dude who said he could play guitar. So they found one in the studio somewhere and he lays this down.

    Interesting... The add for the collegebasketballstore.com above shows an add for UofI... Guess homeless is a keyword for Iowa.

    Anyway... The guy can play.

    Yeah the dude is talented. Too bad he really isnt using it more. He has that kind of raspy coffee house acoustic musician vibe.

    And he has that trendy hipster look thing going on.

    Or maybe it's that trendy hipsters have that homeless guy look going on.

    Reminds me a little bit of Tom Waits or Ray LaMontagne...

    One of the best "fame" stories ever...

    LaMontagne was working a soulless job in a shoe factory, heard a song on the radio, decided then and there to quit, teach himself how to play guitar, and start writing songs.

    I love his voice...have all his music.

    He has a simply amazing voice.

    He's a little bit eccentric too, which I always think makes for a better artist.

    That guy is not good at all - at least as compared to real artists.

    Agreed on both counts. Ray LaMontagne may be one of my favorite artists ever. The guy is in it because he loves music... doesn't waste his money. He lives in a farmhouse in Maine, plays charity events, and donates most of his money to good causes. I love his voice. Any other artists you guys could lead me towards like him?

    Can't say that he's like LaMontagne, but have you ever listened to any Josh Ritter? Very good lyricist; folky stuff and very underrated and under the radar. One of my favorite songs opens with what I consider to be the best opening line of any song ever:

    I was going to find a good "missing the point" image but couldn't, so I have to do this without visual aids, but you completely missed the point.
