Fennelly scouting Linn-Mar vs SC North tonight

Fennelly was at the Linn-Mar vs SC North game tonight. Cr Washington played SC Heelan in the first game, so he could have been scouting anybody from those four teams. Jamie Printy was also there, so the two of them chatted for about 15 minutes before the game.

Uhhhh... yes. Possibly the one of the best HS girls players in the country... Kiah Stokes from Linn-Mar.

Doubt BF can get her though, since she's former Iowa player Greg Stokes' daughter. I don't know if he can convince her that playing for the best women's team in the state is more important than playing for daddy's alma mater?

I'm sure there are plenty of other good players too though?

Kiah Stokes who plays for Linn-Mar

I called my parents and they said they also saw UCONN coaches there.

She also noted Linn-Mar didn't play well but still won. The Lions need a new coach, Brandt can't coach and has always ridden good talent on the team, they never win when it comes down to the coaching. Last year against Ames in the state tourney is one big example.

Thanks, I know of Kiah, but couldn't tell you whom she played for.

Word on the street out of the Linn-Mar camp is that she'll be be playing at an elite program...doesn't sound like ISU/Iowa is the big decision...more likely going to be a UConn/Tennessee kind of decision.

Not gonna say it, not gonna say it...

    Oh, well, I'll say it...

    She'll go to North Carolina.

    Dang, need more self-control.

Maryland gets attached to her name a lot. I agree she's likely going out of state.

Brenda Freese played at CR Washington, the Cedar Rapids connection may help her out with Kia...if it should come down to Iowa vs Iowa State - Who wouldn't want to play in front of Legit Crowds everynight?, I was driving in eastern Iowa earlier this week and caught Coach Bluder's weekly show, she was practically begging for fans to come to their games and was asking people to take advantage of free tickets from HyVee...My memory of Hawkeye Women's basketball was an overflow Crowd at relatively new Carver against Ohio State, there were so many people there -the Fire Department finally came in and turned people away! Oh how the mighty have fallen.

It's Kiah's loss. I'll take the real prize of this state playing HS ball 10 miles down the road in Huxley.

Re: Fennelly scouting Linn-Mar vs SC North tonight

maybe the lady coach from baylor will recruit her to play along with the big 6-9 moose at baylor. i think baylor has already lost a game this year. it will be a good matchup between the 6-7 anna prins and the 6-9 lady from baylor this year.

Bluder is no C. Vivian Stringer.

Without Coleman, Toliver and Jeff Walz, Maryland is really struggling - they lost to Townson. Perhaps Kiah should take a long look. Freese is a great great recruiter, but she had an amazing assistant, Jeff Walz, who helped her win that national title. She also has some rumblings from top recruit players about not getting time on the court.
