    computer pros- Disk drive?

My laptops disk drive will not open. When you click the button the lights still turn on like it will open so the drive isn't completley broke. I have even tried the manual way by pushing a bobby pin through the small hole to open it, and that doesnt work as well? Any other ideas?

    Try restarting?
Using an eject from a program such as iTunes or Windows Media Player?

Is there a little hole where you can stick a paper clip in?

    Re: computer pros- Disk drive?

If you can't get it to pop open using that small hole either:

The object you're using is too thick and you're not triggering the release catch

    or

A disc popped off the spindle and is blocking the tray

If it's the second option...that really sucks, but either way there's no reason for that release catch to not work. There's nothing electronic to it
