    Wesley Johnson

Well, he's playing against Florida on ESPN. Hope he plays terrible. That way I won't miss him.

My god... The guy busted his butt for ISU for two year.

I don't wish any ill will on him. He's a great player and I can still remember that great smile...

I agree with you Bobber. Gotta let go of those negative thoughts. They do nobody any good.

We're going to know the Syracuse schedule better than our own at this point

Me too. Florida is a lot better than I thought they would be. Could win the SEC. Kentucky is good though.

Johnson throwing Mcdermott under the bus

I think Greg Mcdermott needs to find an occasion to talk about his relationship with Wesley Johnson.
It's a chance to get ahead of the story before Johnson does serious damage to Mcdermott's reputation.
There's a quote on the internet about Johnson after the North Carolina game, that criticized Johnson for throwing Mcdermott under the bus, but curiously did not say what those postgame comments were.
When Johnson left, Mcdermott said he was told it was "because of our relationship." And that Mcdermott did not "agree with (johnson's) characterization."
Mcdermott also said, "I really think they're putting his career in jeopardy." Which is good for a laugh, since Boeheim now has Johnson poised to be a top 5 pick in the NBA draft.
Wesley Johnson is only going to become a bigger and bigger story as this season goes along. Let's face it. Everyone in college basketball is talking about him. He's on his way to becoming an all-american, and he's got Syracuse up to 6th in the country. They look for all the world like a final four team.
And before too long some enterprising reporter is going to get Wesley Johnson to dish the dirt on Greg Mcdermott. It sounds like he's more than ready to do it. And Mcdermott would be a lot better off to have his side of the story on the record when that happens than to have to respond to how Johnson is going to make him look.

Nice for you of all people to look out for Coach Mac's reputation

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

I doubt WJ wants the real truth to come out. There was definitely a reason he was released to transfer to every school but Kentucky and Alabama. They wouldn't do that if there wasn't a reason.

Yeah, didn't ISU win a big-time recruiting fight to land him, or were they the only major conference program to offer? Also, didn't he get to go to school for free for two years, at a fine university?

I seem to remember him giving Coach McD plenty of notice that he was leaving and was really upfront about it too, so that Greg could try and land a competent replacement, right?

Yeah. We should all wish Wesley well. We sure owe him.

    Yeah.

Makes one wonder if somebody dug deep enough that a certain somebody could be ineligible to play this year.

    Just saying.

    Doesn't justify a response on Mac's part.
If Johnson was smart he wouldn't mention it either.

Enjoy being 100% wrong. Mac should move on...he has. What coach in the world would comment about this now? Are you completely mental? That's rhetorical. I know the answer.

    Re: Wesley Johnson

When has Wesley Johnson thrown Gmac "under the bus?" I'm confused. What has he ever said, except that he and Gmac did not have a good relationship at the end? Seems to me he's kept his lip zipped...
