    Strong to Louisville?

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

It's possible... he's doing a good job down there.

I am really happy for Dan, he has a great gig down there and it may have just gotten sweeter.

Me too. I really hope he is the guy. I just don't know they will give it too him. I think he is doing a great job and I think he would continue to do a great job, I just have a bad feeling.

It's all snark from here on out

Even if it isn't a long term thing, I would have to think he would be the DC for the Sugar Bowl at least.

    I removed it.

I wanted Strong for the Chizik vacancy. I'm glad to see he's been given his chance.

    Re: Strong to Louisville?

With Charlie Strong being named Louisville’s head coach, Florida will need to find a new defensive coordinator.
A top option would be assistant head coach/defensive line Dan McCarney. Another possibility: Ole Miss defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix. Nix has forged a strong reputation throughout the SEC, also working as defensive coordinator at South Carolina. It was Nix’s Ole Miss defense that helped engineer a big win in Gainesville in 2008, the lone Florida defeat during its run to the national title.
