quote: "the schedule provides relief with four likely blowouts before they play host to Ohio State."

I love it when the media feeds the UofI NC or similar beast.

Link to the article, no surprises on the postitions. Especially on D. As their line will be the reason they have an average or good D this year.

    - keep.

I too saw the Blue Ribbon Preview for Iowa and posted it on the Iowa scout.com board. The first replay was...

"Iowa State a blowout? As much as I like the sound of that it probably won't happen."

The majority of Iowa fans know they'll have a game on their hands when ISU visits. It's just that the foolish minority makes more noise.

I have a friend from high school who goes to Iowa. I was with him and another high school friend who goes to Illinois, and we were discussing sports, and how I want ISU to get a breakthrough season at some point. The Illinois kid asks, "oh, is your football team very good?", and my friend from Iowa says "Yeah, they are. We got beat pretty bad last year". I at least said, "Well, if a couple more things had gone your way it would've been closer at least.." and he shakes his head and goes "Pshh, no. We were pretty bad".

And there you have it, someone actually being realistic. Then again, neither of us are Iowa natives, so perhaps there's a factor there...

If our offensive line is decent we should be able to throw the ball all day. (Weather and injuries and play into that however)

This game is a tossup for me. I could see us beating Iowa by 20 points, losing by 20. If its close however I think that favors the Hawks and their kicking game and defense.

Actually the game last year was a blowout at 23-3. It was worse than the score showed.
