    Granderson traded to Yankees?

12:48pm: Heyman tweets that an agreement has been reached, with only medicals pending. We'll do a fresh post once this trade is official. To reiterate: the Yankees get Curtis Granderson, the D'Backs get Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy, and the Tigers get Max Scherzer, Daniel Schlereth, Austin Jackson, and Phil Coke.

Thoughts on this deal. I can't believe that New York didn't have to give up Hughes or Joba

Not having Coke in the 'pen is concerning with Marte being a waste of life, but if they held on to Joba and Phil Hughes, I can't complain.

    Re: Granderson traded to Yankees?

Hughes trade value has fallen off and people are concerened with Joba's role. Yankees got a good player, horrible against lefties though. Arizona must not like the durability of Scherzer because the guy should be nails, but he throws reverse W and that scares alot of people. The Tigers 1,2,3 is gonna be Verlander, Porcello, Scherzer...scary for any AL Central team.

This means Cabrera will move to left, and won't resign Damon and Matsui. I like the attempt of getting more youth.

Will Granderson bat leadoff or #2 behind Jeter?

No Granderson will leadoff and Jeter will go back to his natural role as a two.

Apparently Cabrera could be on the move I doubt it but

Melky Cabrera could now be expendable for the Yankees, and the Cubs are one possible suitor.

4th team for Edwin Jackson and he's only what, 25? Hope he is in Phoenix for New Years!
