channelsurfing.net or justin.tv are probably your best chances. Mediacom can't legally pick it up without paying for it.

Why did the Insight bowl ever think it would be a good idea to put this on the NFL Network?

People will complain about anything. Find a friend or go to a sports bar. Its not that hard to find the game.

Most likely because they paid the most money to show it.

    Re: NFL Network

It's a pretty reasonable complaint, when Mediacom doesn't even carry it...don't you think sports bars would be pretty full for that anyway? Some people just don't want to go to sports bars.

Most ISU students won't be able to get it either. Many apartments don't allow you to switch TV providers.

Seriously, I'd love to go to Phoenix, but I can't justify spending that right now.

I live in Iowa City. Should be fun hanging out in a sports bar on New Year's Eve trying to watch the Cyclones.

Exactly. When the NFL formed the network, they paid some money to get TV rights to some bowl games (can only show last Thursday's Jets-Bills game so many times, you know).

    Re: NFL Network

If you are watching the other bowls through the month of December on ESPN prepare to hear nothing about our game as it's on the NFL Network. They will preview/discuss all the other games but since ours is on NFL Network it won't get mentioned. Oh well...
