    Jumping Ship?

When this team has a few practices to fix their problems, do all the rats that have jumped ship get back on the boat or do they get left behind?

The rats swim to an island where they patiently wait for the same ship with a different captain to pick them up.

    Re: Jumping Ship?

I for one will not be jumping, too much basketball to be played, too many big games for us to have a shot in. We need to get the rebounding figured out ASAP and in my opinion Sit Hamilton down, the kid is soft...

The rats will sneak back onto the ship, much as rats do.

I think the coaches need to show Hamilton this video from last year. Haven't seen him this aggressive all year.

he is going to UNI because they offered him a scholarship and we did not. I am sure if you asked Doug he would "I am going to UNI because my dad sucks and Iowa State aint going no where" Get a Clue...

ISU did not offer him a scholor because why???? How sure are you he was not offered one...How many kids play with there dad if he was the coach??? Go Fish

With McDermott Im sorry ISU regressed to the stone age...this will take a coach a long time to get this team back to where it is and should be... two steps forward three steps back

Ill add this too.....let me know how many kids do not play for their dad in college...

    Re: Jumping Ship?

I have been critical of McDermott's in-game coaching decisions in the recent past and I am just as frustrated with start as the rest of you, but it's definitely NOT the time to call for McDermott's head. It's early in the season, we have a fairly talented team and calls for his head will do nothing but promote dissension within the ranks.

We've got some offensive talent on this team and in my opinion our biggest weaknesses right now are rebounding and defense. These are things that can improve / be corrected with proper instruction. You can't teach athletic ability and fortunately we already have a competitive stable of athletes.

Questioning McDermott's in-game decision-making and coaching ability is fine, but I don't think it's ok to call for his firing mid-season.

There's still hope everybody. This team can still win some big games.
